It was originally planned to have a girl - the young Adelina - dressed as a ballerina to dance to the music of "I'd Do Anything". However, we never got a volunteer, so this idea was dropped. As for the "special lessons", many of the audience got the reference in Edinburgh and laughed. But I hope they thought too: Adelina is not only mad and bad - she's sad too. "No-one ever loved me for myself"
