Both Sides Now

This is one of the earliest songs selected for inclusion in the Nikado. Together with heather Fletcher, I visited Cindy in Dublin and we talked over Nikado stuff - should we have a Nicholas? Could we really poke fun at Nicholas? Was Nicholas good or bad? Was Nicholas good but flawed? Gemini had not been published yet, so we didn't have final answers to these questions.

As we were driving through Dundrum, 'Both Sides Now' came on the radio. "That's the song," I said, "We should have that".

There are so many different sides to Nicholas. Marian's version was written first, and there was an idea that many of the witnesses would sing versions, but in the end it was only Marian and Gelis.
